What is Hylo-Vision® SafeDrop®0.1%?
Hylo-Vision® SafeDrop®0.1% is a sterile, phosphate-free and medium-viscosity wetting agent in the innovative SafeDrop®安滴™ system, a preservative-free multi-dose container co-developed by OmniVision. It can be used optimally with the help of a practical, wide finger rest.
Hylo-Vision® SafeDrop®0.1% contains hyaluronic acid and is used for improved and long-lasting moisturizing of the surface of the eye. Hyaluronic acid is a natural substance that is also found in the structures of the human eye and in the tear film and is therefore particularly well tolerated. It is characterized by a high water-binding capacity, adheres well to the surface of the eye (mucoadhesive properties) and is viscoelastic. Hylo-Vision® SafeDrop®安滴™ 0.1% thus moisturizes, wets and protects the surface of the eye and ensures an even, stable and particularly long-lasting film of moisture on the surface of the eye. Hylo-Vision® SafeDrop® 0.1% is very suitable for burning, watery eyes and a feeling of gritty eyes. It provides long-lasting relief from a feeling of dryness and environmental discomfort in the eye.
Hylo-Vision® SafeDrop®0.1% is ideal for wetting contact lenses. This significantly improves the comfort of wearing contact lenses.
Composition?
Hylo-Vision® SafeDrop® 0.1% ‘s active ingredient is Sodium hyaluronate (0.10%). Other ingredients are sorbitol, sodium chloride, sodium citrate, citric acid and purified water.
Indications & Contra-indications?
Indications:
• for dry eyes caused, for example, by Sjögren’s syndrome or by taking medication.
• in the case of environmental stress, e.g. from air conditioning, wind, cold, dryness or air pollution, e.g. from cigarette smoke
• for tiredness and visual stress caused by intensive looking, e.g. at computer screens, microscopes or long car journeys.
• under mechanical stress, e.g. by wearing hard or soft contact lenses.
Contra-indications:
• If you have an existing hypersensitivity to any of the ingredients.
Who is this product suitable for?
• Suitable for use in adolescents and adults.
• Pregnant women, breastfeeding women and small children should consult their doctor before using Hylo-Vision® SafeDrop® 0.1%.
What precautions and warnings should be observed?
• Do not use it if the SafeDrop® multi-dose container is damaged.
• Do not touch the eye with the dropper tip to avoid infection or injury to the eye.
• The dropper tip must not be touched with other objects or parts of the body.
• Do not use it to treat an eye infection alone.
• Do not use eye drops after the expiry date. This is stated on each SafeDrop® bottle and on the carton.
• A single multi-dose container must not be used by several patients.
• Hylo-Vision® SafeDrop® 0.1% is not suitable as a storage fluid for contact lenses.
• Hylo-Vision® SafeDrop® 0.1% should be kept out of the reach of children.
• If your symptoms persist while using Hylo-Vision® SafeDrop® 0.1%, please consult your ophthalmologist.
Side effects:
• After using, a temporary impairment of visual acuity (blurred vision) can occur. In this case, you should not drive a vehicle or operate machinery. It is recommended that you wait until your visual acuity returns to normal.
• Immediately after using the drops, temporary symptoms, such as a slight burning sensation in the eyes, can occur.
Directions?
1. Step 1:
Before using for the first time, please document the opening date in the field provided for this purpose on the bottle label. Remove the protective cap before each use.
2. Step 2:
Before using the SafeDrop® bottle for the first time, please perform several pressure movements until the first drops are produced. Hold the bottle upside down according to the illustration. Please avoid any contact with the dripper tip with your fingers and eye.
3. Step 3:
Hold the bottle as shown in the picture. Make sure that the thumb rests on the wide, non-slip, round finger rest.
4. Step 4:
Now put your head back a little (neck position) and pull your lower eyelid slightly away from the eye with your free hand. Drop one to two drops of Hylo-Vision® SafeDrop® 0,1% into the conjunctival sac of each eye by pressing the pumping mechanism once or twice. Make sure that the bottle is held vertically. Close your eyes slowly so that Hylo-Vision® SafeDrop® 0.1% can spread evenly over the surface of the eye.
